6" x 1 5/8", looks totally hand-engraved in bone. So many different measurements w/ proportions, thread gauges, probably meant to help a woman calculate sewing or weaving stitches. Made of cow or sheep bone, could have been made anywhere from 1780-1880? Says "ARMY & NAVY C.S.L."
