6.5" long but stretches to 7". True pinchbeck clasp, Georgian style pattern. Otiginal cotton or linen thread stitches the cut steel bead mesh to both findings. Not much visible rust at all. 10 holes on one side, 8 on the other. Looks like more than one person worked on this. No machine work at all except the molded pattern on clasp. I see scoring where the person created a guide to manually drill each hole. Cannot believe things like this are circulating in the UK so casually. c. 1810.
