Interior measurements are 2" wide by 1 5/8". They fit close to the skin on me, and I am a size 6/M/8 shoe, if that's of any use to anyone. This is how they were supposed to fit - like a second skin, so they don't wiggle around and bang into stuff. Although they are hollow and made in Gold Fill (not solid gold), the craftsmanship is EXCEPTIONAL and the finish - orangey-yellow gold, matte - is mimicking the "peach-skin" bloom found on the finest high-karat gold archaeological revival jewels of the day. The granulated borders run all the way around both sides of the hinged bangles, and safety chains keep them....safe. Minor gilding loss on edges and near hardware. It's rare to find a pair still together! c. 1870.
