Early 19th c., so 1820-ish. Pitted, well-used, probably an ancestor of midwives' scissors from the centuries before. The legend goes: midwives needed scissors as part of their medical supplies carried in their bag. They used them medically, but also for sewing / embroidery projects they did during the long waiting periods involved in births. They were decorated with rabbits = fertility. Eventually these evolved into the famous stork scissors used for embroidery. (Storks bring babies.) The scissors were talismanic! 3 1/2" long. I LOVE THESE.
