I made this from a c. 1890 gold fill chain, really nice antique English-looking, rosy gold with faceted links. I cut it into two lengths - 29" and 24" - and attached it to a loose gold filled lava clasp I'd found a few years ago. All metal is gold fill, and the lava shows a Neoclassical female figure (goddess?) in profile with WINGS on her head. Excellent Grand Tour lava with tons of detail - wavy hair, folded fabric on shoulders. 3/4" tall clasp c. 1860-70 with two terminals on each side and handmade box/tongue closure.
