Georgian, c. 1800. I had to have it and spent a fortune on it but isn't it dynamic? 9ct gold and silver, 21 oblong-shaped natural pearls, S-shaped snake, two hair panels that pull out with finely braided brown hair underneath. One looks to be domed rock crystal, probably original, and the other looks like a later frame replacement with flat glass (but still a historic 19th c. repair.) 1 3/8" wide x 7/8" tall. GORGEOUS and outrageously full of personality for the era!
