1 5/8" long x 5/8" wide. Made as a novelty, I imagine, in the early 20th c. Brassy steel / metal, with whiter metal showing through the gilding a bit. Apparently the original stork scissors in the 19th c. weren't sharp, but were clamps that midwives used for umbilical cords. Apparently the National Museum of American History has a very pair of stork scissors which once belonged to a midwife named Rosa Bonfante from Sicily, Italy. These are miniature - I tried them and they aren't really sharp, but they're too tiny for me to get a good grip on!
